Hypothetical prominent custodian

The project uses Mark Zuckerberg as a hypothetical example of a custodian with substantial public status. The example describes a proposed mechanism. It reports no actual deposit or participation.

Suppose he entrusts an ordinary possession anonymously and permits a selected question. Visitors encounter its material properties and available account before learning the custodian's identity. Someone notices a relevant detail or offers knowledge. Staff can propose an exchange under mutual authorization.

The example asks how delayed social information affects attention and the basis of contact. A visitor may still recognize clues, perform for the institution, infer prominence, seek a later introduction. Researchers retain those alternatives. They can compare early and later accounts after disclosure rather than treating anonymity as proof of sincerity.

Status, disclosure, comparison develop the inquiry. An unknown custodian can use the same correspondence procedure. The extreme reputation difference makes an existing variable easier to examine conceptually.
