Comparison of distinct perspectives

Participants can compare accounts of the same possession while retaining disagreement. A custodian describes an inheritance. A visitor develops an association with travel. A repairer identifies a mechanism. A curator interprets the arrangement. Each person contributes a different kind of statement under particular conditions.

Earlier ACHOiR discussions use collective expression to examine the relation among distinct perspectives. In the current institution, staff make this operation concrete by preserving attributed accounts, arranging independent encounters, inviting replies. A participant may revise an interpretation after hearing another account or retain a disagreement with stated reasons.

Shared inquiry requires distinguishing empirical claims from personal meaning. The repairer's demonstration may settle an operational question while leaving a visitor's association intact. The group can produce another question, a repair proposal, a photograph, an account of the disagreement. Plural interpretation and shared authorship explain those different consequences.
