Plural interpretations

Staff preserve accounts from different participants with their respective sources and circumstances. A custodian, visitor, curator, repairer, model can contribute different descriptions of the same possession. They may address different questions or directly disagree.

The custodian remembers a family practice. A visitor associates the camera with travel. A repairer describes a modified mechanism. A model locates a textual connection. The curator proposes an encounter from those contributions. Staff distinguish the factual basis, personal association, inference, purpose of each statement.

Some disagreements can be resolved through further evidence. Others concern value or meaning and may remain productive. The institution can arrange a comparison, retain a disputed claim with context, revise current presentation after review. Disputed accounts and challenge procedures make this practical. A combined account should preserve relevant differences when an apparent synthesis would erase them.
