Acquired roles and temporary uses

A person can attribute an acquired role through a possession's history or current activity. A camera can become an heirloom through inheritance, provide evidence as a witness, carry a question during an event, maintain correspondence through recurring use. Staff record the attribution, its author, context, duration, disagreement.

A family describes characteristic activities such as operation or reading. A role concerns an additional social relation. A current state concerns condition, location, custody, permissions at a time. Staff keep these descriptions distinct while allowing overlap. A book can support several people's incompatible roles during the same evening.

The role vocabulary provides specific definitions. Organizers can examine transitions rather than awarding significance through attention counts. A visitor's use may establish another relation while leaving an earlier custodian's account intact. Competing accounts and state changes support the record.
