Classification during use
A participant assigns a term, category, position, or relation to a possession during a particular activity. Another person can respond through explanation, disagreement, rearrangement, practical use. Staff record the sequence rather than only the final category.
A visitor places the camera with travel books, then another visitor moves it toward repair equipment. The first association concerns a remembered journey. The second concerns an observed modification. Both arrangements can be described while the physical camera continues as the same instance.
The institution can learn from these actions while revising its vocabulary. Staff compare recurring categories, differences across people, the influence of earlier descriptions. Semantic collapse examines a visitor settling on an expressed account. Families and roles provide initial terms while participants remain able to supply another description.
