Disputed accounts
Participants may disagree about a fact, a personal interpretation, a proposed use, the institution's account. Staff record the respective claims, authors, evidence, scope, current decision. They identify the type of disagreement before attempting resolution.
A manufacture date can be examined through external records. A person's association with freedom remains an attributed interpretation. A proposed restoration involves a choice about future material condition. These issues call for different procedures. Staff can correct a factual description while retaining the history of an earlier claim when permitted and useful.
The current public account should explain a relevant dispute clearly. Participants need a route to challenge and review. Some disagreements remain open, especially where testimony is incomplete or values differ. The institution can arrange another examination or encounter and record the consequences rather than requiring agreement as the outcome.
