Participant review

Staff invite a participant to inspect selected photographs, descriptions, attributed statements, proposed publication, institutional interpretations. They explain the decision under review and provide a way to revise the account or its permitted use. Review can occur after a visit, before a public entry, during a later return.

A participant may correct the date of acquisition, disagree with a description of attachment, approve a private print, reserve a family account. These actions affect different parts of the record. Staff record the correction, disagreement, access decision separately. Independent material evidence may require a response beyond accepting or rejecting the participant's account.

During an interpretation challenge, staff examine the source and current presentation. A change in permission may require removing material from a public page while retaining a narrower custodial fact. The participant needs an understandable route to this process through a digital credential or assisted paper procedure. Review continues as the object and its account acquire further history.
