Authored portraits and working profiles
Researchers prepare a continuing working representation from preliminary research, interviews, photographs, possessions, available digital material, event activity. They organize practices, questions, relationships, influences, selections, attachments. Human and AI-assisted interpretation can add proposed associations while retaining their sources and uncertainty.
The internal representation can include substantial context across several modalities and visits. Researchers preserve differences among a public account, the home encounter, an event response, a later explanation. They compare the person with earlier interviewees and revise possible network relations. Enrichment, within-person comparison, between-person comparison describe the sequence.
Authors can prepare photographic, written, combined portraits for the participant. They select material for the purpose and audience, retain contradictions where useful, distinguish the participant's statements from institutional interpretations. A public presentation, private return, encounter proposal can use different portions of the working account.
After Housewarming, researchers prepare further profiles using actual activity and apparent non-interaction in context. The participant can respond, correct facts, challenge a reading. Review, opportunity, continuing inquiry explain the subsequent work.
