Material resistance

Material resistance refers to physical properties and historical evidence complicating a person's projection. A visitor can describe the camera as effortless equipment, then encounter a mechanism requiring a particular sequence. A repairer can identify a part inconsistent with a proposed manufacture history.

Staff record the demonstration or evidence and the response. The visitor may revise their interpretation or retain a personal association while acknowledging a factual correction. Different claims require different treatment: an operation can be demonstrated, a remembered attachment attributed, an imaginative story labeled according to its mode.

Examination, handling comparison, plural accounts explain the relevant procedures. The material object's continuing condition gives visitors opportunities for discovery beyond the institution's descriptions. Repair, damage, replacement can also change the evidence available in a later encounter.
