Delegated initiative

A custodian can instruct software to propose or perform a limited activity after a specified event or finding. Staff examine the instruction, identify the available evidence, determine the permitted consequence. They record the authority, required review, expiry, revocation procedure, actual execution.

For example, the custodian may authorize a proposal for a temporary loan after a visitor offers relevant restoration knowledge. Another instruction may permit relaying a selected question after a related inquiry. Prolonged disuse may prompt a suggestion to consider another custodian. These proposals require interpretation of the condition and the actual current permission.

The complete account includes increasing initiative as a design possibility. Review distinguishes automatic retrieval, a proposed message, actual disclosure, a material transfer. Staff examine the appropriate degree of automation for each consequence. The custodian can revise or revoke the instruction, while administrators locate pending proposals and derived uses.
