Independent interpretation before a meeting
Staff can offer the same possession or question to participants separately before arranging contact. Each person examines the material and contributes an account under the available information. Staff preserve those conditions, then invite a comparison or shared activity.
Separate encounters reduce direct imitation of another participant's initial reading. They still involve prior expectations, labels, the institution's invitation, cultural knowledge. Staff record those influences where available. Participants can later receive the other account anonymously or meet after both accept an invitation.
The method supports comparisons of shared references, complementary knowledge, disagreement. A repairer may notice a modification while a photographer considers use. Their meeting can focus on an actual difference already expressed. Casting, review, disclosure research explain later steps and alternatives.
