Arrangement records

Staff record selected placements, containment, adjacency, co-use, room location. They can photograph a configuration, identify its participants, retain explanations, note the information available at the time. A later rearrangement receives another event rather than overwriting every earlier relation.

During Unpacking, a visitor puts the camera beside travel books. Their explanation concerns a remembered journey. Another person moves it to a workbench after noticing the modification. Staff preserve the placements and accounts. They also retain practical explanations such as available light or access to a socket when participants provide them.

Comparison requires identifying the available collection and opportunity. Different groups may encounter missing objects, changed furniture, earlier labels. The arrangement experiment examines these conditions. Constellations and the house's history describe the resulting relations at different scales.
