Home visit
The primary visit involves an extended period in a participant's home, combining conversation, personal and environmental portraiture, examination of belongings, discussion of a possible deposit. A walk can extend the encounter into the neighborhood. The interviewer follows the actual person and setting while using preparation to guide attention and questions.
The photographer and participant make images together. The interviewer records conversation under the agreed arrangement, follows a shelf or stored object, examines a physical annotation or digital bookmark. A selected possession can lead into a history, demonstration, relationship, unfinished intention. Staff preserve the prompt and circumstances alongside the account.
The extended session develops the quarter-to-half-day proposal. Interview craft, selection and commentary, photographic interpretation explain particular operations. A shorter object-focused visit remains available when time or access requires it.
The participant can consider custody near the culmination of the conversation. They receive the specified portrait return even when retaining their possession under the actual invitation. Afterward, researchers combine material through profile enrichment, compare it with earlier expectations, identify possible relations to completed interviews.
