House visits and House Sitting
After the first Housewarming, organizers maintain access to the setting for visits, hanging out, reading, work, ongoing activity. Participants can understand the broader interpretive purpose while continuing to encounter objects and one another. Staff follow repeated use, changing interests, new contributions, possible encounters.
One proposed arrangement asks visitors to enter without their ordinary outside belongings, increasing reliance on the collection and available company. Visits using the setting develops this condition and practical alternatives. Ordinary co-working offers another mode with different available activities.
The collection can grow through further deposits and material produced during encounters. Custodians can receive reports about selected uses and responses. Organizers can compose later encounters from the accumulated activity, prepare a responsive visit, follow continuing groups.
Staff maintain care, access, hosting, observation arrangements, participant histories. Attendance, longitudinal inquiry, responsive curation, guided exploration develop the full configuration. Recurrence supplies different information from the first event because the participants' knowledge and the collection's history have changed.
