The following example describes staff writing and revising selected records. The fields illustrate a possible implementation. An actual system needs detailed design, access procedures, testing against the chosen activities.
Receiving the camera
The registrar records the object reference, material description, responsible custody contact, examination date, condition source, receipt, effective permission. A public description uses a different access choice from the private contact. The registrar records both the time of the material handoff and the time the entry was prepared when they differ.
Recording a contribution
Staff identify the action and its source before creating a reviewed event. A proposed event can contain the following information:

A visitor's explanation receives another attributed account rather than silently becoming the event's factual meaning. The curator records a proposed relation to the custodian's question, evidence used, current uncertainty, intended consequence. A reviewer examines that proposal before an invitation.
Revising the account
The participant explains that the curator misunderstood a reference. Staff correct the interpretation, locate the derived numerical representation and pending invitation, review their continued use. The underlying handling event may remain accurate. A changed permission can affect public presentation while leaving a required custody record under a narrower purpose.
For a historical query, software reconstructs the state relevant to the requested time and current audience. The user can inspect the retained source and revision limits. Temporal relations, revision, withdrawal provide the developed procedures.
