Custodial relay

An institution-owned possession can pass through successive willing custodians, each accepting defined responsibility and an opportunity to contribute an account. Staff establish the handoff and return procedure before the sequence begins.

A participant receives a book, reads or annotates under agreed conditions, records relevant changes, offers it onward to an authorized next participant. Another relay can use a camera and resulting prints. Staff preserve condition, permission, custody intervals, contributions, interruptions. The chain can end or pause through a clear return.

The experiment examines responsibility and developing biography through movement. Travel research compares the material record and participants' accounts. Institution ownership simplifies some permission choices while leaving actual care, loss response, authorship, contact, participant choice to be specified.
