Deposit and return
At receipt, staff confirm the possession and responsible person, examine condition together, record the agreed term and uses, assign or confirm the identifier, provide a receipt. They establish its location and care procedure before ordinary access begins.
During custody, staff record selected use and material changes. At retrieval or scheduled return, they review condition, arrange transport or collection, confirm the handoff, update custody. They also review the continuing status of public descriptions, private accounts, pending correspondence, generated representations.
An evening deposit and a long renewable loan require different scheduling and care. Early withdrawal needs a practical contact and response procedure. Terms, condition, handoffs support the sequence. The physical return and the continuing permission for associated information receive separate records.
