Temporal world model

Staff maintain an account of a changing collection and its relationships. They register particular possessions, works, copies, participants, places, communities, questions, invitations, permissions, accounts. They record events and use them to reconstruct relevant states at different times.

The camera moves from a home to custody, receives a contribution, enters a new arrangement, supports a portrait, returns. A participant changes the available account. A later invitation references the earlier observation. Staff need the actual sequence, source, context, authorization rather than only a current summary.

A temporal graph expresses changing relations while an event history preserves specified changes and evidence. Software can assist queries about location, permission, claims, unresolved questions. Staff revise interpretations through review and reprocessing. The model concerns selected institutional records, with explicit gaps and access boundaries. Participants' lives and material conditions continue beyond those records.
