Inter-View
During the Inter-View, interviewer and participant examine a possession and the person's relationship to it. They discuss acquisition, material properties, earlier use, associated people, marks, changes, future possibilities. The exchange develops within the longer home session and can culminate in a possible deposit.
The interviewer can begin with a demonstration, an inscription, an unexplained choice. The participant opens a book, follows a marked passage, recalls another reader, compares the copy with an online saved reference. The interviewer asks about the relation among available material, selection, commentary. Staff retain those successive contributions as part of the account.
They also discuss personal significance outside conventional monetary or collecting value. Temporary custody provides a possible continuation through shared use, later accounts, possible connection. The participant can understand the general proposal while the organizers preserve details of the first event's information sequence for later explanation.
The primary experience occupies several hours with portraiture and environmental inquiry. An earlier 40-to-70-minute object conversation remains a shorter alternative. Extended visits, examination, the broadcast proposal supply the connected explanations.
